CURRENT EXHIBITION

Open 10am - 4pm every day till 27 April

Previously known as the Great Lakes Art Society Open Exhibition, it has be held over the Easter holidays since 1980.

Offering over $10,000 in prize money across eight categories and an award for the Best in Show, and a Packing Room Prize, the exhibition also includes a People's Choice Award, a fun activity where every visitor gets to be judge and decide on their favourite artwork.

All works are for sale.

'A community place for visual art'

Forster Gallery is a community-run, visual art gallery and learning space in Forster, NSW.

Throughout the year the gallery displays works created by the members of Great Lakes Art Society and collaborates with local community groups to hold specific exhibitions. 

Each year the Society holds the Forster Art Prize, open to any artist in Australia, with awards in eight categories and significant prize money.   

Membership of the Society is open to anyone from beginners to more experienced amateur and professional artists.

Regular classes in a variety of media are held weekly and a number of weekend workshops, conducted by  guest tutors, are held each year.
